News Conference: Senate Republicans on School Funding Legislation and the State Budget

State Senate Republicans Sen. Scott Fitzgerald, R-Juneau, Sen. Glenn Grothman, R-West Bend, and Sen. Joe Leibham, R- Sheboygan held a news conference at the Capitol September 27 and called on the Senate Democrats, who are in the majority in the Senate, to schedule a vote on Assembly Bill 506, relating to state finances and appropriations for state school aids for the 2007-09 fiscal biennium, school district revenue limits, school safety grants, pupil transportation reimbursement rate, the school breakfast reimbursement rate, county and municipal aid, the school levy property tax credit, and making appropriations. The Senators took questions from reporters on the status of the budget negotiations.
