Legislative Black Caucus Juneteenth Day Capitol Flag Ceremony

On June 19, 2020, for the first time in history, the Juneteenth flag was raised over Wisconsin’s State Capitol. The Wisconsin Legislative Black Caucus was at the Capitol to commemorate the occasion with a program. Juneteenth celebrates the end of slavery in the United States and is formally recognized in 47 states, with Wisconsin officially recognizing the day in 2009.
