What are the WisconsinEye Capitol Pool Feeds?

There are two video feeds that terminate in the State Capitol Press Room: the State Assembly and the State Senate. The function is to feed the two televisions in the room, as well as provide a feed for broadcasters.

How to use the Clipping/Sharing Tool

To use, scroll down to the clipping/sharing tool below the video player and click the Share tab.

Then play the video until you find the time code that you want the clip to start at, then click the “Start At” box.

When you find the time code that you want to clip to stop at, click the “Stop At” box.

Note: To review your clip, click the Cue button under the “Start” or “Stop” section. To subtract or add time to your clip, use the -5s or +5s feature to subtract or add 5 seconds to the timecode.

Once your time code is ready, you can share the clip with a Direct Link, found under the clipping features.

And/or you can share with an Embed Code, found under the Direct Link section.

Note: To copy direct link or embed code, either right click and copy or click Copy to Clipboard

Important: If you grab the video scrubber and move it while playing the clip, it releases the start and stop points. If you don’t touch it, it will maintain the desired start and stop points.

How to use the Transcription Tool:

To use, scroll down to the transcription tool below the video player, and click the “Transcript” tab to create and access the transcript.

Once the transcript is created, you can play the video while following along on the transcript or click on specific time codes to jump to those clips in the video player.

You can also search for specific words by typing them in the “Find words…” search bar in the top right corner.

Note: Transcription can aid in finding and sharing clips with the clipping/sharing tool by simply noting the time codes from the transcript and typing them in the “Start At” & “Stop At” functions under the Share tab to generate a sharable link or embed code.
