On April 18, 2022, Newsmakers Host Lisa Pugh sat down with the Department of Safety and Professional Services Secretary Dawn Crim, who heads the state agency responsible for the credentialing and licensing of more than 240 professions, enforcing building codes and tracking opioid prescriptions. She is also chair of the Governor’s Equity and Inclusion Advisory Council. Recently, DSPS has faced criticism regarding a significant backlog in licensing approvals. Crim says improvements are on the way.
