Newsmakers: Legislative Session Review with Assembly Minority Leader Greta Neubauer

On March 15, 2022, Newsmakers Host Lisa Pugh sat down with Assembly Minority Leader Rep. Greta Neubauer (D-Racine) to review the past legislative session. Rep. Neubauer, a 30-year-old Democrat from Racine is making history as the state’s youngest Assembly Minority Leader on record and the first openly LGBTQ+ leader. She took the helm of her party in January as Representative Gordon Hintz stepped down. She has called the most recent Assembly session that ended last month “a disservice to the people of Wisconsin.” Meanwhile, she is praising the districting map chosen by the State Supreme Court – saying it puts Democratic seats back in play.
