Newsmakers: Middleton High School's 6th Legislative Semester, Drug Courts

Each semester, the U.S. Government and Politics class at Middleton High School hosts a Legislative Session. Legislative Session is a class where sophomores take on the roles of legislators by declaring their party affiliation, selecting an issue, turning that issue into a bill, participating in committee hearings, and ultimately trying to pass their bill into law. The class was created more than a decade ago by Steve Arnold, the father of former MHS social studies teacher Kate Arnold, and is presently taught by Janel Anderson, Andrew Hartman, and Caitlin Farrell.
