Wisconsin voters consistently rank the economy as the number one issue in this upcoming election. However, they disagree on which candidate would handle it better and which parts of the economy matter most. On September 9, 2024, WisconsinEye’s Newsmakers featured two of Wisconsin’s leading economic experts to explain what voters should look for and how to understand what’s being proposed. Guests were Menzie Chinn, Professor of Economics at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and Mike Knetter, a former senior staff economist for presidents George H. W.
