Newsmakers: Year-End Interview with Governor Scott Walker

In a year-end interview at the Executive Residence on Dec. 19, Gov. Scott Walker talked about lessons learned in his first three years in office, why he wants the debate over major tax-reform changes – including the possibility of abolishing either the income tax or property tax – to start now and factors he is considering when he decides whether to approve a Kenosha casino. He also said he is worried about Milwaukee losing the Bucks basketball team and any public aid for a new Bucks arena should be tied to passage of a referendum. Julia Brunson, a sophomore at MPS' Ronald Reagan College Preparatory School, joined the interview at the request of WisconsinEye.
