Assembly Committee on Education

On October 29, 2019, the Assembly Committee on Education held an executive session followed by a public hearing on bills relating to school district revenue limit adjustment for declining enrollment and the prior year base revenue hold harmless adjustment, a shared services aid program for school districts, a whole grade sharing categorical aid for school boards, grants for feasibility studies of school district consolidation or whole grade sharing, timing of equalization aid payments to school districts, grants to support peer-to-peer suicide prevention programs in high school, grants to the Wisconsin Safe and health Schools Center, requiring that student identification cards include suicide prevention hotline contact information, and application and reporting deadlines for the statewide parental choice program and evidence of accreditation for private school participating in parental choice program.
