Searching Videos
Details
The most efficient way to find what you are looking for is to use our global search bar. To narrow your search, include quotation marks with your search term or date like this:
“[SEARCH TERM]” – Examples of committee search: “Committee on Education” or “Senate Committee on Education” / Examples of bill search: “Senate Bill 199” or “SB 199” or “SB199”
“[MONTH / DAY / YEAR]” – Examples of date search: “December 4, 2022” or “May 20, 2017”
If you do not use quotation marks, the search will produce a broader list of coverage and programming. You can also use the global menu bar at the top of the site, or the global hamburger menu on the left, to choose from categories listed under “Programs” and “Coverage.” Within each category page, you can further filter your results by checking the category and keyword lists to the right.
Use our search bar by clicking on it with your cursor and pressing Enter / Return without typing anything. Voila! A list of all archived videos will appear, chronologically ordered from most recent to oldest.
Note: WisconsinEye’s video archive extends to April 2007, when we began operations.

Sharing
Features
As of June 18, 2026, our video player features an updated clip sharing tool for on-demand videos which includes:
- In video clip selection: Instead of scrolling under the video player and event description, you can now select your clip inside the video player. To do so, play the video, wait for the ad, then click the scissors icon on the video player.
- Movable handles and position marker line to select your clip: Drag your start and stop handles to precisely choose your clip duration. You can also fine tune your clip by clicking and dragging the position marker line within and outside of the selected clip.
- Preview your selection without leaving the editor: A new Preview button plays back just the segment you have selected, so you can confirm you captured the right moment before copying or downloading. Play and pause work normally while previewing and keep you in preview; reaching the end of your selection stops there; pressing Stop ends the preview and pauses. The button lights up while a preview is playing.
- Create a shareable link or download the clip: Within the video player, you can click the “Link” button to generate a shareable link of your clip, or choose the “Download” button to download an MP4 your selected clip to share on other platforms.
- Note: You must be a registered user who is logged into your account to see and utilize this feature.
