Wisconsin State Senate Floor Session

On November 18, 2025, the Wisconsin State Senate will hold a floor session on the following: SB 279: grants to law enforcement agencies for data-sharing platforms; SB 11: allowing representatives of certain federally chartered youth membership organizations to provide information to pupils on public school property; SB 16: participation in interscholastic athletics and application of the public records and open meetings laws to interscholastic athletic associations; SB 188: reduction of penalty surcharge when certain fines or forfeitures reduced; SB 190: ratification of the Respiratory Care Interstate Compact; SB 210: changes to amount of, and criteria for designating recipients of, academic excellence higher education scholarships; SB 216: local government competitive bidding thresholds; SB 227: the law enforcement officers’ bill of rights; SB 291: making certain child care expenditures eligible for the business development tax credit; SB 310: time limits on local unit of government chief executive officer emergency power proclamations; SB 358: fees charged for certain coroner or medical examiner service; SB 366: technical education equipment grants; SB 367: virtual credit card payments in health insurance policies; SB 376: a tax credit for employer-provided child care; SB 377: identification of the Brooklyn Area Veterans Memorial on state highway maps; SB 387: indication of veteran status of certain service members on operators’ licenses or identification cards; SB 389: the per pupil adjustment for school district revenue limits; SB 391: equipment of school buses with audiovisual recording devices; SB 392: driver education instruction related to school bus safety; SB 394: damage or graffiti to certain historical property and providing a penalty; SB 413: immunity from prosecution for certain crimes based on assisting a victim of sexual assault, extending the time limit for prosecution of second degree sexual assault, and the standard for terminating residential residency when tenant is the victim of sexual assault; SB 419: emergency testing of a criminal defendant for certain diseases; SB 421: a grant for modernization of a dam in the village of Rothschild; SB 423: the time limitation on prosecution for hiding a corpse; SB 424: teacher preparatory programs; SB 432: mandatory reporting requirements and referring cases of threatened or suspected child abuse to law enforcement; SB 439: levy increase limit for the village of Oregon and the towns of Oregon and Rutland; SB 440: newspaper publication and typeface for certain legal notices; SB 448: the use of videoconferencing technology in certain civil actions; SB 459: admissibility of expert witness testimony; SB 461: alternative delivery of projects contracted by the Department of Transportation; SB 466: age for the issuance of a Missing Child Alert; SB 474: fire suppression products derived from soybeans; SB 482: increasing the carryover period of the research income tax credit; SB 485: video monitoring or recording in residential care centers for children and youth, group homes, and shelter care facilities; SB 498: free speech and academic freedom at University of Wisconsin System institutions and technical colleges, due process in disciplinary proceedings at University of Wisconsin System institutions and technical colleges, and causes of action against the Board of Regents of the University of Wisconsin System and technical college district boards; SB 504: dental provider network rental by insurance plans; SB 521: highway signs for the Mount Horeb Veterans Memorial; SB 525: removal of vegetation obstructing outdoor advertising signs; SB 528: certain airport improvement contracts; SB 529: repeal of obsolete tax credits and tax provisions; SB 531: postloss assignment of rights or benefits under property  insurance policies to residential contractors and providing a penalty; SB 532: course fees at University of Wisconsin System institutions; SB 533: intentionally disarming a correctional officer and providing a penalty; SB 536: the sales tax exemption for memberships sold to real estate brokers; SB 537: nonfunctional and counterfeit airbags and providing a penalty; SB 553: limitations on the definition of abortion; SB 593: various changes to insurance laws; AB 74: parental notification of alleged sexual misconduct by a school staff member; AB 89: theft crimes and providing a penalty; AB 136: classification of the crime of impersonating law enforcement officers, fire fighters, and certain other emergency personnel and providing a penalty; AB 165: local guaranteed income programs; AB 166: academic and career planning services provided to pupils  and requiring the reporting of certain data on college student costs and outcomes; AB 211: exempting tobacco bars from the public smoking ban; AB 265: human trafficking and trafficking of a child and providing a penalty; AB 280: workforce housing and childcare awards under the business development tax credit; AB 302: authorized lights for funeral procession vehicles; AB 308: prohibiting funding for health services for unlawfully  present individuals; AB 366: emotional support animals in housing; falsely claiming that an animal is a service animal and providing a penalty; AB 409: passing certain vehicles stopped on or near a highway and providing a penalty; AB 424: requirements for the rental of mobile and manufactured homes; AB 450: applicability of the commercial building code to certain buildings; AB 452: subdivision plat approvals; AB 456: changes regarding the laws governing real estate practice; SJR 101: declaring November as Veteran Mental Health  and Suicide Awareness Month in Wisconsin; SJR 103: condemning the actions of the Russian Federation in Ukraine, including the illegal abduction and forcible transfer of Ukrainian children to Russia; SJR 106: congratulating the Greendale High School Marching Band on winning the Wisconsin School Music Association State Marching Band Championship for the 20th consecutive year; AJR 92: recognizing the United States Marine Corps’s 250th birthday.
