Newsmakers: Campaign and Election Reform with Rep. Jeff Stone and Common Cause's Jay Heck
Republican Rep. Jeff Stone said a final version of AB 225, which would rework election laws and revise the criteria for recalling local officials, is still being drafted but he expects Assembly debate on the bill before June 30. Stone said some of the changes will reflect criticism heard at a public hearing on the bill. Jay Heck, executive director of Common Cause in Wisconsin, joined Stone on the Newsmakers show and criticized several of the bill's original provisions.
