Newsmakers: Exit Interview with Former Senator Pam Galloway (R)

Republican Pam Galloway, of Wausau, served as District 29 state senator from January 2011 until her March 2012 resignation, but she cast historical votes to repeal collective bargaining laws for public employees, for a 2011-13 state budget that cut spending to fix a budget deficit, for a requirement to show a photo ID to vote, and to allow citizens to carry concealed weapons. In a May 24 Newsmakers interview, Galloway, a physician, said she was proud of those votes and resigned solely to help care for two ill family members. She also said she would have won a June 5 recall election in District 29, had she stayed in office.
