Newsmakers: Former Wisconsin Realtors Association President Bill Malkasian
In a Newsmakers interview on Nov. 23, former Wisconsin Realtors Association President Bill Malkasian insisted that what he said for the 36 years he worked for or ran the WRA is still true: Buying a home is still the best investment someone in Wisconsin can make. Now a consultant for the Washington-based national Realtors group, Malkasian discussed how he built the WRA into one of the most powerful Capitol power brokers. He also predicted that a recall election for Republican Gov. Scott Walker, who the WRA endorsed, will be held next year, but that the governor will survive that challenge. Malkasian also recalled his relationships with eight governors he worked with over his WRA career.
