Newsmakers: Representative-Elect Jim Steineke
In a Newsmakers interview on Dec. 2, Republican Rep.-elect Jim Steineke, of Kaukauna, said he ran for the Assembly to control property taxes and state government spending. A regional representative for a real estate investment firm, Steineke will represent the 5th Assembly District when the new Legislature convenes on Jan. 3. He said his experience as a town chairman and county supervisor helped qualify him for the Legislature.
