Newsmakers: The Graying of Wisconsin

It was a startling number in a state Department of Administration report: By 2040, almost one in four Wisconsin residents will be age 65 or older. That is almost twice the number of over-65 residents in 2010. In an Aug. 7 Newsmakers, four officials talked about what the older population could mean: Dr. Tim Bartholow, of the Medical Society of Wisconsin; UW-Madison Professor Karen C. Holden; Mike Theo, president of the Wisconsin Realtors Association; and Deborah Godt, supervisor of the Medical Unit in the state Transportation Department’s Division of Motor Vehicles.
