Newsmakers: Wisconsin Technical College System President Dan Clancy

Dan Clancy, president of the Wisconsin Technical College System, talked about the 25% increase in full-time enrollments in the 16-college system in four years, and meeting the needs of older laid-off workers, in a Newsmakers interview on Nov. 29 in the WisconsinEye studio. Clancy also said the System has adjusted to a $36-million annual cut in state aid in several ways, including raising fees paid by its students. He also explained how System officials respond to employers’ complaints about the shortage of skilled workers in some areas, including manufacturing.
