News Conference: Assembly Speaker Rep. Michael Huebsch on the State Budget
Assembly Speaker Rep. Michael Huebsch, R-West Salem, held a news conference from the State Capitol September 27 on the state budget. Huebsch urged the State Senate to pass Assembly Bill 506, relating to state finances and appropriations for state school aids for the 2007-09 fiscal biennium, school district revenue limits, school safety grants, pupil transportation reimbursement rate, the school breakfast reimbursement rate, county and municipal aid, the school levy property tax credit, and making appropriations. Assembly Majority Leader Rep. Jeff Fitzgerald, R-Horicon, also participated in the news conference. They discussed the status of negotiations over the state budget.
