Milwaukee Green Jobs For Clean Water

The Milwaukee Green Jobs for Clean Water event took place at the Milwaukee County War Memorial on August 10, 2009. A panel of government officials discussed funding opportunities for Great Lakes restoration projects, and a panel of scientists, advocates and labor leaders, discussed ongoing green investment needs in the Milwaukee area. The panel discussions were followed by a keynote speech with John C. Austin, a Senior Fellow from the Brookings Institution. The event was sponsored by the Healing Our Waters – Great Lakes Coalition and the Wisconsin Blue Green Alliance; the Sierra Club, a member of HOW’s steering committee, was the primary event organizer.
