Senate Committee on Economic Development and Local Government

On January 16, 2014, the Senate Committee on Economic Development held an executive session on Senate Bill 449, relating to authorizing the transfer of certain tax credits earned in connection with economic development in this state.  A public hearing followed the executive session on Senate Bill 385, relating to the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation's officers, committees, and reporting obligations; Senate Bill 397, relating to county payments to public libraries in adjacent counties; and Senate Bill 433, relating to prohibiting municipalities from providing alcohol beverages retailers with identification scanners.  The committee also heard public testimony on the appointments of Nancy Hernandez as a private sector rep on the WEDC board; Michael Grebe as a state resident on the Bradley Center Sports and Entertainment Corporation; and
