Marshfield Clinic Health System Forum: E-Cigarettes and Our Youth – Partners in Prevention – Part 1: Commercial Tobacco History & Trends
On May 30, 2019, Marshfield Clinic Health System hosted an event that examines e-cigarettes and our youth. America’s teens report a dramatic increase in their use of e-cigarettes (vaping) devices in just a single year, with 37.3 percent of 12th graders reporting “any vaping” in the past 12 months, compared to just 27.8 percent in 2017. In Wisconsin, rates of e-cigarette use have increased from 1.9 percent in 2012 to 20.1 percent in 2018. The event took place in Wausau, WI., and features presentations on the topic of commercial tobacco history & trends.
