Assembly Committee on Corrections

On February 13, 2020, the Assembly Committee on Corrections held an executive session on a bill relating to smuggling items into or out of prisons by inmates, followed by a public hearing on bills relating to reimbursement to the village of Redgranite for local law enforcement investigation services to a correctional institution, the use of billboards to recruit Department of Corrections employees, earned release upon the completion of a training program, reporting on the aging and elderly prison population, maximum period of imprisonment following revocation of extended supervision or probation, measuring a school district’s improvement for the school and school district accountability report, followed by an executive session on bills relating to reimbursement to the village of Redgranite for local law enforcement investigation services to a correctional institution, and measuring a school district’s improvement for the school and school district accountability report.
