On October 13, 2026, the Wisconsin Supreme Court will hear oral arguments on Friends of Blue Mound State Park v. Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources. Case Number 2024AP577. This is a review of a decision by the Wisconsin Court of Appeals, District I (headquartered in Milwaukee), affirming an Iowa County Circuit Court order, Judge Matthew C. Allen presiding, dismissing the Friends of Blue Mound State Park’s petition for judicial review of the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) order denying Friends’ request for a contested case hearing on DNR’s master plan for Blue Mound State Park.
