Newsmakers: Census Day 2020
On April 1, 2020, WisconsinEye’s senior producer Steve Walters interviewed a guest panel on the topic of the U.S. Census. This year’s U.S. Census count will be our nation’s twenty-fourth, and will determine congressional representation, inform hundreds of billions in federal funding, and provide data that will impact communities for the next decade. Panelists include: Lt. Gov. Mandela Barnes, member of the Wisconsin 2020 Census Complete Count Committee; Corinda Rainey-Moore, community outreach and engagement manager for KidsForward and serves on City of Madison, Dane County, and statewide Complete Count Committee; and Dan Veroff, Distinguished Outreach Specialist with the Applied Population Laboratory at University of Wisconsin-Madison and University of Wisconsin-Madison Division of Extension.
