Newsmakers: Rep. Andre Jacque (R-De Pere)
In a March 28 Newsmakers, State Rep. Andre Jacque (R-DePere) explained his "wrongful death" bill that would allow parents to recover damages after a fetus dies, regardless of whether the pregnancy was in its early or late stages. Jacque also said he will again reintroduce a proposed "personhood" constitutional amendment that would guarantee legal rights to a fertilized human egg. Jacque also discussed other four anti-abortion bills, being lobbied by Wisconsin Right to Life, that could be debated this session.
